To comply with The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons guidelines “a veterinary surgeon must take steps to provide 24-hour emergency cover for the care of animals of those species treated by the practice during normal working hours”. This means that every Veterinary practice must have a facility to provide emergency care to its clients 24 hours a day.
Not all animals will develop an illness or become injured during routine surgery hours and unfortunately some animals will require treatment when the surgery is closed. If you are a client of Beechwood Veterinary Hospital and you need urgent veterinary attention for your pet, a Veterinary Surgeon may be contacted on (01302) 534999.
