Veterinary Surgeons
The Nursing team.
To assist the Veterinary Surgeons here at Beechwood Veterinary hospital we have a team of nurses who provide 24 hour care to hospitalised patients. We have 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVN`s) who have passed the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons nursing examinations. These nurses are highly experienced and update their knowledge through the training of students and attendance at seminars and lectures on a regular basis. Currently we also have one nurse who is entering into her second year of training to become a RVN. The RVN`s are assisted by two Veterinary Care assistants and 2 Veterinary Nursing auxiliaries all of whom allow us to provide the care and intensive nursing that some of our patients require.
Reception staff.
Our reception staff are the first point of contact for clients attending Beechwood Veterinary Hospital and we pride ourselves on the skill, compassion and efficiency of the reception team. We currently have 4 reception staff who are able to assist new and existing clients during their visit to the hospital, making a visit to the hospital as pleasant as possible. All members of the reception team are "Pet Plan Insurance Advisers" and are able to offer advice and guidance on the Insurance policies offered by Pet Plan.
Office staff.
To ensure smooth running of our Veterinary Hospital, the practice manager, Dawn Brearley leads a team of office staff dealing with the "business of Veterinary practice". This is a challenging aspect of Veterinary practice and an area which demands a high level of skill and knowledge. Our computerised management system is regularly updated by the management team such that client records can be maintained whilst assuring accuracy and complete confidentiality.
