Dr Jenny Ellson

Jenny graduated from Glasgow University in June 2007, shortly after this she then moved down to South Yorkshire to join a practice in Dinnington. Here she dealt with a variety of animals from horses and farm animals through to dogs and cats, occasionally seeing a more exotic animal ranging from chickens to meercats! She acquired a range of hands-on practical skills and knowledge there that enabled her to become a confident experienced vet. She developed a firm interest in cats and decided to start studying for her Feline GPcert, which is ongoing at the moment. In addition she particularly enjoys performing soft tissue operations and is always trying to broaden her knowledge in this area.Eager for a change and to further expand her knowledge, Jenny moved to Beechwood in February 2013. Here she hopes to finish her feline certificate and take her interests further. In her spare time Jenny spends a lot of time with her fiancé Dave (also a vet at a neighbouring practice) and her two dogs, Charlie the Labrador and Meg the Border collie, walking in local woods and sometimes further a field in the peak district. She also has two very lazy tabby cats that are very much in charge of the dogs! Her hobbies include baking, running half marathons and reading a variety of books.
